Monitoring

Since this morning, the Authenticator desktop applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux have been unable to connect to Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). As a result, push notifications are not being delivered on desktop. Only notifications are affected. Users can still authenticate via opening the application and selecting Pending operations.

Mobile applications are not affected and continue to work normally.
Our initial analysis points to a recent change in Firebase Cloud Messaging, specifically in how legacy receiver modules process push notification encryption headers.

Our team is working urgently on a fix and preparing a new release of the desktop applications to restore service as quickly as possible.

We will post another update as soon as more information is available.
